When I was nineteen, I was sitting in a car with my cousin and two other people outside a
friend’s house.
Suddenly I heard the voice again.
"Get out of the car."
I hesitated.
I didn’t know why the voice was telling me to leave, and I didn’t want to make things awkward
by suddenly stepping out. But the prompting became stronger.
Finally, I opened the door and got out of the car.
My cousin followed me.
We walked away.
A few minutes later, the police raided the house where we had been parked.
Everyone who remained in the car was arrested.
Looking back, I began asking myself questions.
How could the Spirit know what was about to happen if it hadn’t happened yet?
The answer eventually became clear to me.
God declares the end from the beginning.
Isaiah 46:10
“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done,
saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.’”
That moment was not only protection—it was training.
God was teaching me to recognize His voice and trust it, even when I didn’t understand why.
It was preparation for many other moments that would come later in my life
